[35] Annoying Pain In Your Right Shoulder?
Ask For Your Own Intuitive Reading!
Hi, my name is Elise Lebeau, I’m the Left Brain Intuitive, and today I’m wondering if this message is for you. Did you know that if you’re a listener of this show, you can ask for your own intuitive insight? Just go to leftbrainintuitive.com/ask and tell me where you’re stuck. It’s anonymous. I don’t need to know anything about you, but I would be happy to give you a powerful intuitive insight—a moment of clarity so that you can start moving forward.
Today’s Intuition Message
This message is for a woman who is having pain in her right shoulder. It’s in the back of the shoulder, more like the shoulder blade area, and it’s been on and off for a long time. This is not a new symptom, not something you developed in the last six months. You’ve had this for a while, but it goes away for long periods of time, which can be confusing because then the logical mind doesn’t think to connect the events and ask: Why is that? Why is that happening now? What’s in common with these events?
When Physical Pain Is Not Random
It’s important to ask this question in the case of this particular symptom. It’s not random. It’s not just that you sat at the computer too long or played too much tennis. There’s a reason why at the energy level, not at the physical level (you’ve got that covered), but at the energy level, this gets triggered, and then the body expresses that symptom in that stuck, painful right shoulder.
Let’s see what that is.
It comes back but it’s spaced out because the trigger is like that. The trigger is something that you revisit once in a while. This trigger is very, very stuck because when you revisit it, you don’t make progress. It’s like there’s a rut in the road, and your cart just falls into this rut and follows it to the end of the road, which is a dead end. The only thing you can do is turn around and give up. This has to do with a dream you have—not a nighttime dream, but a dream about your life. There’s something inside you that’s trying to be expressed, but you always end up in that dead end.
Every time you think about this dream, you go, “Oh, I would love to…” and then you get stuck there. You have the same thoughts over and over again. It’s like a domino effect: you push the first domino and then they go all the way to the end, and the end is always, “But that’s not possible.” You are indeed stuck because it’s true that your logical mind can’t find a way to make this happen.
Intuition: When Logic Is Stuck
It cannot because the way there is not in a straight line. Our consciousness, our logical mind, is really good at going in a straight line. You want to go to that next stoplight, and you’re going to drive forward until you reach it. The logical mind is really good at that, so is your consciousness.
However, it’s not so good when you need to take a detour and make a right when you can see your goal right in front of you, but there’s traffic there. The only way to get there is to make a right here, which is counterintuitive, right? You’ve probably grown used to Google Maps that will make you do this all the time—make you take a detour because there’s traffic.
But, you know, the thing is that the Google Maps for us is our intuition. You kind of have to trust it, that Google knows what it’s doing. Maybe you’ll go look at the map to make sure it’s not sending you down a back road that doesn’t exist anymore, but fundamentally, your reflex will always be to go in a straight line towards what you want. And when that doesn’t work, your consciousness, your logical mind, is stuck. It can’t see a way.
Why It’s Hard To Trust Intuition
But if you make a right here, your intuition can take it from there. The problem is that intuition doesn’t give you the next 57 steps; it gives you the next step for today. It’s usually that short of a range. Intuition is very short-sighted.
The reason is that intuition is updated in the moment. If you have a plan from your logical mind, it’s like, “Okay, you’re going to do step one, two, three, up to step 99. There you go. Step 100, you’ve reached your goal.” Intuition is updated in the moment with live traffic. That’s important because that’s something your logical mind can’t do. But at the same time, if the traffic changes all of a sudden, it needs to be able to redirect and say, “You know what, we were just going to make a left here, and then from there we’re going to reevaluate the route.” This is why intuition can be scary because it’s more short-sighted. We don’t see the big picture when we use our intuition.
Trust with Intuition: The Challenge
It’s harder to build trust in our intuition when we don’t see the big picture. We don’t see where this is going to go. So it’s a challenge to build trust. However, there’s only one way to build trust in any relationship.
So, if you meet somebody, you don’t know them at all, and you don’t know if you can trust them, well, maybe you’ll think, “We can go out for coffee, maybe go to Starbucks, because that’s a safe place,” right? So you go to Starbucks, and they show up. You’re like, “Oh, cool, this person is on time. I like that. Maybe I can trust them to be on time again in the future.” Then maybe you go out to dinner, and they show up on time, so you trust them. Over time, you build trust that even if they were late the 57th time, you’d be like, “Oh, that’s okay. She’s going to show up. She’s probably stuck in traffic. But I trust that she’ll be on time because she’s been on time so many times.”
The way to build trust is to have a lot of small events that confirm this is trustworthy.
What Is Your Should Pain Telling You?
The same is true with your intuition. So that shoulder pain that is hurting is telling you if you keep doing what you’re doing now, your dream is never going to happen. That’s the pain there. That’s how painful it is for your mind that this dream will never be true in this lifetime. There will be a point of no return. There will be a point where it’s going to be too late for you to start going in the direction of that dream. That’s why that shoulder pain gets worse sometimes. It’s very strong because, subconsciously, you sense you’re getting closer to that point of no return.
For example, when I was 40, I decided I wanted to retire early. I didn’t want to work until I was 72, which is what the Bank of America calculator had told me. Then when I lowered my expenses a little bit, it said, “Well, you can retire at 68. Lucky you.” I thought, “Hell no.” In that moment, when I thought, “Hell no,” I was 40, and I retired at 47. It took me seven years. However, if I had decided to retire early when I was 65, there’s not enough time there. I would have made it to 68 and would have spent those years not retired, which I like a lot, but working in a job that wasn’t a good fit for me anymore.
What Is The Cost Of Ignoring Your Intuition
This is what this pain is trying to tell you. Your body is in pain because there’s a point of no return with this dream. Your logical mind has told you flat out, “I can’t help you with that dream. I don’t know how to get you there.” Your intuition is saying, “Anytime you’re ready, make a right here, and I will help you. Anytime you’re ready, ask your intuition: How can I make this dream possible?” That’s a pretty fundamental question, right? Just, how can I make it possible? Then listen to what your intuition is saying. In that moment, you just used Google Maps, avoided the big traffic jam, and now you are making progress.
That pain in your shoulder will diminish, diminish, diminish until one day you won’t feel it anymore. You’ll look back in hindsight, if you decide to make that right turn and listen to your intuition, to follow that dream, to make it possible. In hindsight, one day you’ll go, “Oh, you know what, my shoulder, it just hasn’t hurt in a couple of years. How cool.”
Making a Decision with Intuition
I’m hoping in that moment you’ll remember that it came from this decision to trust your intuition, that your dream is possible, but not if you try to use your logical mind to get there. That’s not going to happen. You’re stuck. You need to back out of this dead end, make a right, and ask frequently: What can I do to make this dream possible? Because if you ask your intuition once, it’s like eating once. It’s not going to sustain you. You need to eat every day. In my case, because I’m a professional intuitive, I ask my intuition multiple times a day: What can I do today to make my dream possible?
I do that multiple times a day and trust it because I have built all these little moments in time where my intuition really showed up for me and it was right. I thought, “Wow, I can trust this,” to the point now where I make really big financial decisions based on my intuition, like a hundred thousand dollar decision based on my intuition. That probably sounds super scary for you. Ten years ago, this would have sounded super scary for me. I would not even have gambled ten bucks on my intuition, but now I’m perfectly comfortable trusting it enough to put $
100,000 on the decision and say, “Yes, this feels good. This is aligned with my intuition, and I’m right.”
That’s how I retired, by the way.
Conclusion
My intuitive message for you today about your right shoulder that is hurting is that if you decide to listen to your intuition frequently, this pain will go away.
All right, that’s all I’m getting for you today. I hope this was helpful.
I’ll talk to you soon.
