Ep.68 Fix This Intuition Killer: Bad Timing
Hi, my name is Elise Lebeau. I’m the Left Brain Intuitive and I talk about that special place where Logic meets Intuition.
I was a software engineer for 20 years and simultaneously led a double life as a professional intuitive, giving intuitive readings to perfect strangers.
I loved both my jobs equally, and together they gave me a very fulfilling career. Now that I’m retired, I enjoy doing a podcast to teach other women how to leverage their intuition when they feel stuck.
Understanding When You Feel Stuck
We feel stuck when our logical mind, our consciousness, has taken us as far as it can go. It just doesn’t have any more ideas for you. That’s when we feel stuck. The logical mind is giving up. This is the perfect time to turn to our intuition because intuition has more information available than what’s in our consciousness. Our logical mind is based only on conscious information.
The Role of the Subconscious in Intuition
Intuition lives in the subconscious, which contains all the information that came in through your senses and years of experience but was not needed at the moment, so it was pushed down. You can pull things from your subconscious. For example, you might vividly remember the first time you fell off your bike when learning how to ride, but you might not remember the dialogue. You’ll remember the pain of falling on your knee, whether it was a sunny day, or the color of the bike.
The information stored in our subconscious is not in language. That’s why I’m called the Left Brain Intuitive because the left brain, specifically the Broca area on the left temple, is the center of language for 97 percent of the population.
How Intuition and Language Interact
Intuition does not rely on language initially unless you train it to use your center of language. My job is to turn intuition into words, which is why I’m called the Left Brain Intuitive. Today, I want to show you my favorite technique when you’ve tried everything and nothing is working.
Timing and Intuition
By the time you feel impatience, it’s a very important indicator that you might have a timing issue. Timing is crucial in intuition because the information that comes to you from your subconscious is not just about you. There’s information about things around you and within your physical experience. Everything around us remembers in some way.
The Best Binary Decision Technique
When you start to feel impatient, something should be coming. You’ve tried hard to use your intuition or logical mind to make something happen, but it’s not here yet. There’s a very important question to ask your intuition: Is it time yet? Is this the best time right now for this to happen?
Practical Application of the Best Binary Decision
Let’s do it:
- Stand up and close your eyes.
- Focus on the place where your feet touch the ground.
- Count backward from 21, only the odd numbers: 21, 19, 17, 15, 13, 11, 9, 7, 5, 3, 1.
- Hold your hands up like you’re holding two oranges. On the left hand, hold a “no.” On the right hand, hold a “yes.”
- Think about the situation that is making you feel impatient. Briefly think about what you want.
- Ask, “Is it time yet for this?” With your eyes closed, look at your hands. Which hand feels better, brighter, or lighter?
The hand you see is your answer!
Intuition doesn’t talk to us in words, and this technique is easy to use because it’s binary—a yes or a no. When you quiet the logical mind, you give the microphone to your intuition.
