[103] Intuition Podcast | My Best Technique If You Feel Stuck In Your Career + Free Intuitive Reading
Intuition Podcast | My Best Technique If You Feel Stuck In Your Career + Free Intuitive Reading
So today we are going to do a case study. So I’m gonna give a professional intuitive reading to a member of the audience who went to my website, leftbrainintuitive.com/ask, and just told me where she feels stuck. And that’s all I really know about her. I don’t know her name, I don’t know her email.
I don’t know anything else.
I just know where she feels stuck. So I’m gonna show you how I give a professional intuitive reading in a situation like this, and then if there’s anything in this reading that resonates with you, I’m gonna give you my best technique to have more clarity in your life, to lean into your intuition a little bit more no matter what your skill level—whether you’re a professional intuitive or whether you’re just starting out and you’re curious about intuition.
Okay, so this woman feels stuck at work. So she’s had a lot of lateral movement in her career. It sounds like she’s been in the same field for a while but not promotions, not moving up, and this is where she feels stuck.
Intuition Starts with Asking the Right Question
The first thing that I always do when I give a reading is ask the question, What do you most need to hear?
I actually do this before I even know what the problem is. Because sometimes there are things that are really important at the soul-deep level that get put aside because we’re so focused on the circumstances of our lives—you know, the physical reality around us—that we forget that there is a deeper part of us that has wants and needs. And fulfilling those wants and needs is usually the quickest path to happiness.
So what do you most need to hear?
There’s not just one way to get to where you wanna go in your career. There’s multiple ways to get there, to move forward, to move up. But it’s really important to understand why you wanna move up, because right now you are just focused on the problem, which is that you’re stuck.
And this is tricky because it’s not taking into consideration where you want to go.
It’s like you’re in front of a stop sign and the only thing you can see is the stop sign, and you just keep looking at it and waiting there on that street corner. So whenever you are thinking about this right now, you are continuing to be stuck and you will continue to be stuck. Honestly, this has been going on for a while, I felt from your description.
And so we wanna change that today. So let’s do that.
Finding the Root Cause Through Intuition
Okay, so now the next thing I’m gonna do is figure out the root cause of the problem.
A lot of times when I’m seeing people explaining to me what the problem is, I immediately get a sense that this is just kind of the surface issue.
For example, “Well, I’m stuck because there’s a glass ceiling in my field,” “I’m stuck because companies don’t have money to give raises,” “I’m stuck because I don’t have enough skills to move up.” So those are very good reasons. They’re very valid reasons.
And I just wanna clarify that those reasons are true in our world, but they’re not the root cause of the problem. So the more time you spend trying to solve a surface cause like this, the more stuck you will be. Because as soon as you fix that one, you have to go to the next level down, right?
So instead, I like to just dive all the way down to the root cause. And what is the root cause here for you today?
Oh, so there is a glass ceiling—but it’s not out there. The glass ceiling is in your own mind.
How Intuition Reads the Body’s Energy
Just a reminder: I read energy, and energy is stored primarily in your physical body.
Cells remember everything. They’re like mini hard drives. And then around your hard drive—your physical body—there’s a magnetic field which is generated by the cells, which is also another place we can store data. So a lot of hard drives now are magnetic in nature. So this is what I read.
I don’t have access to your thoughts. I have no idea what you’re thinking right now. So these are not the things that I see.
What I see is thoughts that have happened over and over again that left a mark in your brain, in your body somewhere. So if I’m going for a physical symptom, I will find traces of the physical injury or problem.
And if I’m looking for the root cause of something more psychological, I’ll usually find it somewhere around your head or your brain, whether it’s in the actual physical cells or the magnetic field of the matter. But this is where I’m looking right now. I don’t see your thoughts, so I don’t know exactly what caused this in your thoughts.
However, I see the effects. So one of the things that I’m seeing is a glass ceiling from repeated exposure to situations where people said no.
I wonder if you were the victim of discrimination. I wonder if you’re a woman of color, if you’re of Asian descent, if you’re a woman in a man’s field.
I’m an engineer, and that was definitely something I felt while I was working. So these are all circumstances of our lives that trigger a thought in our minds.
So if you’ve observed that women in your field don’t get promoted to being VP of engineering as often as men, then you’ve integrated that into a belief sometimes.
And this is what I’m seeing. I’m seeing that there’s a glass ceiling—indeed—but it’s in your mind primarily.
Now, is it also in your physical experience? Absolutely. However, there are women who are VPs of engineering, so it is completely possible to get past this actual glass ceiling in a company.
Shattering the Internal Glass Ceiling with Intuition
The big difference is that the woman who is a VP of engineering does not believe that it’s impossible—because there she is. She believes it is possible. She believes that there’s a path between where she is and where she wants to be.
And intuition is the best tool to give you that path because it’s a very dynamic tool. It can give you instructions moment to moment to say: yes, you’re going in the direction of what you want, or no, you’re not.
So the problem here—the fundamental problem—is this glass ceiling in your mind, which is a consequence of you seeing a glass ceiling in physical reality.
But that’s not the one that’s stopping you, because clearly, that one can be broken.
And you want to be one of those people who goes into… I don’t know if it’s a position or within your company. I wonder if you’ve been there for a while and you would just like to have more growth.
You know, I wonder if you’re bored.
Oh, I wonder if you’re bored with your job and you’ve been bored for a while, and that’s the growth that you’re looking for.
Clarity and Alignment Through Intuition
So this is the second thing that is really important in this root cause.
The first one is: you have an internal glass ceiling that we need to shatter.
The second one is: it’s really important to be very clear on where you want to go.
Because your intuition is a tool like Google Maps. It can give you step-by-step instructions on how to get there, but it needs to know where you wanna go.
So in this case, the problem you’ve been having is that you’re staring at the stop sign—you’re staring at the problem. And this is not where you want to go.
So your intuition cannot help you. Do you see that? If you’re looking at the stop sign, you’re already there.
You can’t go anywhere else until you say: Oh, I wanna get past this stop sign and I wanna go to LA or to New York.
Then your intuition can kick in and map a route for you. So that’s the second thing we’re gonna do today: we need to figure out what it is you really want.
What is your destination?
We’ve already got pieces of the puzzle here.
So for example, you’re bored. So you’re looking for growth because it’s more interesting. You want to have more interesting things that you do in your day to day. You don’t want the same Tuesday every day.
So that’s what’s calling to you at the soul level.
What this looks like at the soul level is: your soul is calling for growth. It’s calling for challenges. Interesting challenges.
And we can do both. We can do both.
You can further your career and answer the call of that soul-deep desire that you have.
Two Techniques to Align and Accelerate Your Intuition
Okay, so this is the problem as I see it intuitively.
So what can we do?
If there’s anything about this reading that resonated with you, what is something that you can do today to get more clarity and find your next step?
So the first thing is: I would like you to align with what you want.
This is a critical step in the intuitive algorithm. So there are four different things you absolutely need to be very productive in using your intuition to get what you want.
- You need to be able to access your intuition—you need to be able to hear it.
- You need to be able to trigger it on demand.
- You need to align it at the soul-deep level with what you really want.
- You need to be able to accelerate by making a small decision.
Right now, you are massively stuck on the aligned step—the third one.
So let’s do that.
A Practical Intuition Exercise
Grab a Post-it. Hopefully you’re not driving when you’re listening to this.
Write words that make you smile when you think about the job that you want—not the job that you have, but the job that you want.
Let’s say you have that dream job now, and a journalist says: Describe to me what you love most about this job.
What would you say?
Some of the words that came up already were growth.
Don’t write anything negative. So don’t write “not bored,” because that’s not a destination—that’s the opposite of a destination.
Then write interesting if that comes up.
No negatives—only keywords that are in the direction of what you want.
I’d like you to have a nice list: 3, 5, 10.
Describe that job—just one word at a time. Words that make you smile when you look at them.
Imagine how it feels. What does that feel like? Write these words down.
Triggering Intuition with Daily Exposure
Keep that Post-it close to where you work.
Put it in a drawer, inside your bag—wherever you’ll see it regularly. This is your trigger.
Every time you look at these words, your intuition says: Oh, you want to go there? Sure thing. Let me give you your next step.
If you don’t know how to trigger your intuition on demand, you might not hear what those next steps are—but you can learn to do that.
This is the alignment step.
Now, the next thing is the fourth step: the accelerate step. What’s the next step toward what you want?
Your logical mind doesn’t know. It’s given up.
So we’re asking your intuitive mind. And the best way to do that is to look for things that feel better.
If you’ve been thinking about your situation a lot and it makes you feel miserable every time—stop.
You’re focusing on the problem. Instead, focus on those words you wrote.
Let Intuition Guide You with Ease
Intuition likes to talk in the channels that don’t conflict with your logical mind.
Your logical mind likes words. Intuition speaks through feelings, sensations, images, or sound.
So when you see the word interesting, ask: What’s something interesting I can do right now?
Maybe it’s a crossword puzzle, a short trip search—anything that lights you up.
Doing something that feels interesting activates your intuition.
You’re triggering it and receiving feelings that reflect what you want: to be interested, to be inspired.
So these are two techniques that you can use to have more clarity in your life by being aligned and also to find your next step toward what you want.
If you like these techniques, I have a free masterclass in my intuitive community for logical women that I’d love for you to take.
I also offer coaching, so if you have a problem, you can ask me a question. Isn’t that cool? So I’ll see you there. Talk to you soon.
