[106] Intuition Podcast: Free Intuitive Reading + My Best Technique To Trigger Your Intuition On Demand
Intuition and the Purpose of These Readings
So today we are going to do an intuitive reading for a woman in the audience. And the reason I do this is because I am retired now—I don’t give private readings anymore. But I love doing it. And I also find that one intuitive reading might provide you with clarity about your life. A moment of clarity.
You listen to me explain what the problem is or a potential solution, and it resonates with you. And so that’s why I love doing these readings.
If you would like to get a free, intuitive reading, you can go to my website leftbrainintuitive.com/ask, and you just need to tell me where you feel stuck.
It’s anonymous. I don’t need your name. I don’t need your date of birth. I don’t need your email. I just need to know where you’re stuck. And then after the reading, I’m going to give you an intuitive technique that you can use to find more clarity in your life.
Intuition and the Body: Interpreting Pain
All right, so today’s reading is for a woman who is seizing up in her neck area. There were not a lot of details about it or a lot of background information, which is totally fine. I love doing these readings.
But this word was really important—seizing up. So pain in the neck area, it’s stiff.
And what you most need to hear—this is usually the first question I ask in an intuitive reading. I find it’s the most important question because even though it’s not related directly to your problem, if there’s something really important that your intuition has been trying to tell you, I want to deliver that message. I absolutely want to do that.
So what do you most need to hear about this?
Intuition and Stress Response
This stiffness in your neck is your body’s way of interpreting stress in your life. And stress is an interesting thing because it’s really in our minds, right? Some people fly and are extremely stressed, and some people fly and feel totally fine. They’re in the same experience, but they interpret it differently. And our mind can actually start damaging our body.
Repeating stress is like taking a knife and giving a puncture wound somewhere over and over again. The stiffness in your neck is such a wound. It’s a stress. It’s low-grade enough that you don’t notice when you’re stabbing yourself in the neck. It’s not on purpose, it’s not conscious, and that is what you most need to hear today.
You don’t realize that you’re doing that. And you don’t realize, most importantly, that you have control over that because you are holding life in a certain way—even though you’re doing it like sleepwalking—you don’t realize you’re doing it, but you’re still doing it. And you can control that.
Intuition Versus External Control
Now, you can’t control the external circumstances. And this is where the problem has been. You have been trying to be out there controlling external circumstances in your life. And that’s inefficient because, like in my flying analogy, two people taking the same flight will experience it completely differently—and you want to be the person who is completely chill and relaxed while they’re flying.
So what you most need to hear today is that this is something you can solve without needing to wait for other people to change—for your circumstance to change. Even if you are objectively in a very stressful situation right now—maybe you don’t have enough money, maybe you’re taking care of an older parent, maybe you have a tough relationship with your children, whatever it is that you’re struggling with—it’s frequent. So maybe it’s at work. It’s something you do frequently.
Right now, you are waiting for the external problem to solve itself before you can feel better, before you can stop that kind of puncture wound that keeps happening over and over again through your nervous system. And this is really how it happens. We think a thought that makes us feel stressed.
The nervous system is activated. All kinds of chemical things happen. And then we tense somewhere—the muscles respond to that. This is how we injure ourselves.
Intuition at the Soul Level
However, at the soul-deep level—if I dive way beneath just the everyday circumstances of your life and the more obvious reasons why—I’m sure there’s a reason why your neck hurts. Maybe you’ve tried different pillows or you think it’s because of the way you sleep or whatever. But let’s say I put that aside and dive at the soul-deep level.
What’s happening there is that you don’t feel empowered in your own life. You feel like you’re a victim in your own life—a little cork bobbing on the ocean waves, just going wherever they take you.
And this is not actually the reality—the way that your soul and your body perceives it. So there’s an internal war going on, where you think: there’s nothing I can do.
“I have to wait for this. I have to quit this job. I have to wait until my mom dies and I don’t have to take care of her. I have to wait until I have more money.” Oh my God, this one’s tough.
Every time you say something like that, you are affirming that you’re powerless in your life. To alleviate this stress. To alleviate this pain. And this pain is particularly hard because it’s self-inflicted—accidentally. You don’t realize you’re doing it, but it is self-inflicted.
Intuition to Reclaim Empowerment
So, all right, that’s the problem we’re trying to solve. It has nothing to do with pillows or physical therapy or massage therapy or chiropractors or spinal injury. It has nothing to do with that.
When I look at your energy—and this is why people come to me—they’ve tried everything else, right? I’m kind of the Hail Mary, and that’s totally okay.
So let’s say we’re now looking at the root cause problem, which is that you feel powerless in your own life. And the reason you feel powerless—it totally makes sense, by the way. You’re not being illogical. You’re not crazy.
The reason you feel powerless is because the strategy that you’re trying to use to feel better is to control external events and people. And that doesn’t work.
We can’t do that. People have free will—so do you.
They can choose to do whatever the hell they want. And wanting them to do something different is just as painful. This is really the core of your powerlessness. It is true: you will never win this battle.
Intuition and the Power of Want
So it’s like a soldier that goes to war, and before he leaves, his general says, “Yep, we’re not gonna win this one. You’re gonna die.” That’s tough. And to keep doing it over and over again—that’s what I’m seeing. You interact with this problem almost daily.
Okay, so what we want—and this is when intuition can kick in—is to figure out what you want.
Now, if you focus on the neck pain, that’s what you don’t want. If you keep focusing on that, your intuition can’t help you. Because intuition is a tool beautifully crafted and specialized in giving you steps toward what you want. That’s its only purpose. It’s a biological imperative that we survive, thrive, and grow.
So your intuition can’t help you with neck pain, because that’s not what you want.
However, if what you want is to feel empowered in your life—solving the root cause, the energetic root cause, the thing that’s not about the shallow physical symptoms (that’s just the tip of the iceberg)—then your intuition can help. This problem comes from an energy issue way deeper than that. Subconscious.
So now we’re asking your intuition: How can I feel more empowered in my life?
Ah. I feel better already, just having said that. That’s so cool. Such a powerful question for you to ask your intuition every day.
I would write this down on a Post-it.
Intuition and Triggering Insights on Demand
All right, so we found the problem. We found what you most needed to hear. We found the root cause. Let’s move on.
Let me give you my best technique when you want to trigger your intuition on demand.
We often think of intuition as something that happens in the shower, or while we’re taking a walk, or when we have a dream. For women, we often have way more intuition about other people than ourselves—because we tend to put others’ needs above our own.
I’ve dedicated my work as an intuitive to understand this process so it can be triggered on demand and focused on you.
That’s what I care about. I care about you feeling better. I care about you finding your way back to who you really are—not this neck-seized person.
That’s not who you really are—but the fundamental you.
Intuition Needs a Clear Request
So, the technique I’d like to give you today is to have a trigger for your intuition. Something you can do on purpose instead of waiting for an intuitive insight.
There are two important things here.
The first is: you need to know what you want.
So, whatever you’re struggling with—let’s say you don’t have enough money—that’s not what you want. What you want is to have more money. That’s what you want.
So your first job when you’re trying to trigger your intuition on demand is to always reformulate the problem or the situation in a way that talks about what you want.
No negatives. Only words that point toward something desirable.
Don’t say, “I don’t want to be poor.” That’s a negative.
Say: “I want to be richer.”
Okay, that’s the first thing: know what you want.
Triggers That Activate Intuition
The second thing is: you need to have a trigger.
There are lots of triggers that people use for their intuition. Some people just know, “If I take a walk, I’ll get an intuitive insight.” That’s because they’ve trained their mind to consider the walk their trigger. That’s really cool. If that works for you, awesome.
Tarot cards are a trigger. Astrology is a trigger. The person interpreting your astrological chart is intuitive, and she’s using that as a trigger to let information come through.
The trigger I like to use is simple. It’s a question.
I like using it because it takes no special skill.
But the only thing you need to know is: you must ask a question that your intuition can answer.
Intuition Journal Technique
There are two questions that work really well.
The first one is why—Why is this happening?
When I ask that, I’m looking for the root cause. In this case, we already found the root cause: you want to feel more empowered in your life so that your neck will stop seizing up.
The second question that is really awesome is what—What can I do today to feel more empowered in my life?
This is a great trigger for you.
So, what I suggest is that for the next two weeks, you take three minutes a day and use a journal.
I feel you’re more of a paper person. If you don’t have a journal, buy one. Doesn’t have to be expensive.
In it, you’ll write only two things:
- Your question
- The date
So: What can I do today to feel more empowered in my life?
Then write the first thing that comes to your mind.
Learning the Language of Intuition
That’s it.
Not pages and pages. Just one simple sentence.
You have to be quick—because otherwise you’ll start distorting.
The instructions I’m giving you here are based on my intuitive algorithm and the free masterclass I teach. They’re based on these principles.
You don’t want to let your logical mind come in and make a billion hard suggestions. That’s not what we want.
We want your intuition to tell us what easy thing you can do today to feel more empowered.
So you write the question down, and then write the answer.
It’s one sentence. Very quick. Don’t let your mind wander.
It’s also possible you’ll get an image instead of words—and that’s okay.
You might get sounds or a little movie clip in your head—that’s fine. Write it down, even if it doesn’t make sense yet.
A lot of times, these things make sense in hindsight.
Building Intuitive Fluency
In the beginning, you’re just learning to really communicate with your intuition. It’s like a child learning to talk. That child will form full sentences eventually, but right now it’s just starting out. It knows a few words, and you try to make sense of what it’s saying.
Same thing here.
When you first use your journal, ask a question, use your trigger, and get your answer—you’re learning the language of your intuition.
And it takes patience. Sometimes the insight makes sense later—and that’s okay.
But I would suggest you do this for 14 days.
Write your question—and write it every time, because this is your trigger.
Don’t assume your intuition knows what you want. It doesn’t.
Write it down: What can I do today to feel more empowered in my life?
Then write your answer. And that’s it. You’re done.
Intuition as a Daily Practice
This small technique will bring more intuitive clarity and epiphany into your life.
And when we have clarity, we can move forward with confidence.
And that—that’s when the neck pain goes away.
All right, that’s all I have for you today. I’ll talk to you soon.
